Golden Goose builds on magazine licensing success with addition of Mother&Baby magazine
At BLE this year Golden Goose will be showcasing their newest client, Mother&Baby magazine – the UK’s No. 1 Pregnancy, Baby and Toddler magazine. An iconic parenting brand with 60 years of history Mother&Baby has 391k monthly readers, a growing website attracting 1.1m monthly users, and a 150,000 strong social media following. The Mother&Baby Awards (now in their 24th year) are highly respected by the retail industry, not surprising given that TGI data shows that 70% of consumers have bought a product because it won a Mother&Baby Award.
Appointed as their exclusive brand licensing consultancy, brandowners Bauer Media have tasked Golden Goose with creating a range of useful products that help mums to be the best they can be. “We believe this incredibly valuable brand can add vital credibility to new products,” explained Adam Bass, Director of Golden Goose.
With nearly £1.5Bn spent per annum on everyday baby products Mother&Baby has relevance in categories such as accessories for pregnant mothers and infant & toddler nutrition. Golden Goose is now looking for licensees to take a share of this market by providing new mothers with a range of trusted Mother&Baby products at a critical time in their lives.
Having already successfully licensed a big magazine brand - Men’s Health products generate $20M p.a in retail sales - the Golden Goose team are naturally very excited about their newest client. “We want to translate Mother&Baby magazine’s hard-earned expertise, trust and respect into really useful products that every new mum will need,” enthused Antonia Habdank, Golden Goose Account Director.
Kim Slaney, Mother&Baby Managing Director confirmed “Mother&Baby has been a trusted brand for over 60 years and continues to offer the best advice and support for UK mums. We are excited to extend our brand into new products and services and, with their reputation and experience, we feel confident that Golden Goose are the right partner to make that happen.”
